To celebrate Estranged Students Solidarity Week, we have organised an Estranged Student Drop In, for any student that identifies as being estranged from their family or members of their family.

Please come along to the Community Hub, Exton Park at any time between 11am and 1pm for an informal chat; tea and biscuits will be provided. We hope this event will be a friendly and supportive space for students to meet other students with who may have similar experiences to themselves.

Student Carers Drop In

To celebrate Carers Rights Day, we have organised a Student Carers Drop In, for any student who has caring responsibilities for a family member.

Please come along at any time between 2pm and 4pm for an informal chat, tea and biscuits will be provided. We hope this event will be a friendly and supportive space for students to meet other students with who may have similar experiences to themselves.

Care Experienced Student Drop In

For National Care Leavers week (25th Oct – 1st Nov 2023) we have organised a Care Experienced Student Drop In, for any student that identifies as coming from a care experienced background. National Care Leavers Week is a brilliant opportunity not only to reflect on the ongoing challenges faced by care-experienced young people as they begin their independent lives, but also to showcase the incredible achievements of care leavers and to help make their voices heard.

Please come along at any time between 11am and 1pm for an informal chat, tea and biscuits will be provided. We hope this event will be a friendly and supportive space for students to meet other students with who may have similar experiences to themselves.

Look After Your Mate – Student Minds Workshop

Friendship can play a key role in helping someone live with or recover from any difficulties they are facing but it can be hard to know what to say when a friend is struggling.

Student Minds’ interactive Look After Your Mate workshop will help develop your confidence to support any friends who maybe struggling by introducing you to tips and tools, spotting the signs, starting a conversation, how to support and when to signpost, as well as looking after yourself in the process.
