Haygarth Public Lecture: ‘Being prepared for future health hazards’ by Professor Dame Jenny Harries

The Haygarth Public Lecture has been established to celebrate the long tradition of public health action in Cheshire and is named in honour of the 18th-century Physician, John Haygarth FRS (1740-1827), who practiced Medicine at Chester Infirmary and has been described as “Clinical Investigator – Apostle of Sanitation”

Postgraduate Research – Presenting with confidence workshop

Lucy and Louise will be hosting a workshop on Presenting with Confidence. It will cover enhancing confidence when presenting, in addition to also touching on what makes an effective presentation, slide design, presentation style and how to best prepare for an audience Q&A.

This 2-hour workshop will be split into 2 x 50-minute blocks, allowing for a 10-minute break in between. There will be opportunity throughout for discussion and time to ask questions at the end.

This workshop is aimed towards people thinking of, or scheduled to present at a conference, whether that be the PGR Symposium or an external conference.
