This session, delivered by the ADHD foundation will cover what ADHD is and isn’t, including up to date research, key features, diagnostic criteria, comorbidities, executive functioning impairments, emotional dysregulation and the different presentations of ADHD, including gender.

This session will enable anyone who works or will work with people with ADHD to have a better understanding of how to effectively work with, understand, manage and support those with ADHD.

This session, running as part of the MA in Social Work but open to all, will assist people with an overall understanding in terms of how they can recognise ADHD in themselves and work better with colleagues/peers with ADHD. It is ideal for academic staff and professional services staff to better assist students and is also suitable for students, enabling them to support the clients/patients/service users who they might work with in the future (especially those on professional courses).
