This session will build upon the introduction session and will include the following: 

  • How to sort references and arrange references into groups and smart groups and search your library using keywords to aid quick discovery   
      
  • Where to find and download output styles not already present in EndNote and changing output styles using Cite Whilst You Write  
     
  • How to search and import references using wider sources that are not fully compatible with EndNote via direct import options (e.g., Google Scholar)   

Aimed at all staff and students (level 6 and above) who have either attended an introductory session already with LIS or have used EndNote before.

  • Setting up and organising an Endnote Library 
  • Adding references to a library using manual or direct export (from subject databases and Library Search)

  • How to choose a reference style and create in- text citations and a bibliography using Cite While you Write with MS Word

Pet, play, and relax with adorable animals trained to help reduce stress and boost wellbeing. This event is perfect for anyone who needs a break from studying, wants to unwind, or just loves animals.

There will be 4 slots per 15 minutes, so make sure to inform your friends. Bookings can be cancelled up to 24 hours beforehand. Please do not book multiple slots as they will be removed.

This is a social, low-pressure event designed for all residents to drop in at their own pace. No experience needed.

New gym opening times and fitness classes

From 12th January, the fitness suite and swimming pool will have new opening times.

Gym (Fitness Suite)

The gym will now be open:

  • Monday to Friday: 7am – 10pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10am – 4pm

Swimming Pool

  • Monday to Friday: 12pm – 2pm
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 7:15am – 8:45am

Please note: Swim times are subject to change depending on staff availability and usage demands. For the latest updates, please visit Sport and Active Lifestyle’s Instagram or call 01244 513 452.

Fitness Classes

New fitness classes will also be available from 12th January! Visit the Sport and Active Lifestyle timetable and book any session for free via Playwaze.

New addition: Unirox!

Unirox is suitable for all fitness levels, from athletes and fitness enthusiasts to those who simply want to challenge themselves. This is a class for everyone.

You will alternate between running and eight functional workout stations, which include sled pushes, burpee broad jumps, wall balls and more. Over the course of just under an hour, you will compete in pairs to complete all workout stations and runs under timed conditions.

Every Thursday, 6:00pm – 7:00pm in the Gymnasium.
