University Mental Health Day Virtual Drop In

University Mental Health Day is coming up, as well as our in-person event, we are hosting a Virtual drop-in session on MS Teams on Wednesday 13 March 2024 from 11.30am – 12.30pm. Student Services staff will be available to chat generally about Mental Health and can also open breakout rooms for any brief private advice. We will be able to chat generally about Mental Health and support by signposting to other services and resources that may be of interest for a variety of needs.

Life as a Museum Director – the Instagram version versus reality

Laura Pye, Director of National Museums Liverpool, will be telling us just that in the next talk in our Culture and Society Research Knowledge Exchange Institute’s (RKEI) public lecture series.  

With responsibility for all seven of Merseyside’s museums – from the International Slavery Museum through to the Walker Art Gallery – Laura is one of the key figures in the North West’s cultural landscape.

FREE Active Campus Walk Moel Famau North Wales

Location:

This will be an approximately 4 mile mountain trail, 2.5 hour walking time with some steep sections and rocky terrain. Staff will lead the walk. Suitable walking boots and wet weather clothing are required. Toilets are available at the car park by Moel Famau. Refreshments are not provided and should be brought with you. For more information, please email activecampus@chester.ac.uk. The walk is weather permitting and may be subject to cancellation. Booking is essential via Eventbrite and closes on Wed 28th Feb at 09:00am, only 12 places available.

Ash Wednesday Chapel Services

On the 14th Feb our Anglican chaplains will be hosting a short Ash Wednesday Ceremony in Chapel (10 minutes approx.) at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm for those who would like to receive the imposition of ashes (a small cross on the forehead with ash from palm crosses).
