The University of Chester has a long tradition of educating and training people to work with psychological trauma, supporting those who have experienced a wide range of life challenges and adversities. This information session will cover our popular Level 7 Psychological Trauma PGCert and our Level 8 DProf in Psychological Trauma. Our courses acknowledge that modern professionals often work with diverse traumatised client groups, individuals, and populations and we emphasise self-care and professional quality of life throughout the courses. Framed as experiential and trauma-informed, our trauma courses will provide you with the necessary academic and evidence-based input you’ll need to develop and refine your expertise.
Psychological trauma has been a growing area of interest across disciplines and roles for many years, and our one-year, online, Level 7 degree is an accessible course that will provide all professionals working with trauma with the up-to-date knowledge and criticality required to navigate the trauma landscape.
Our DProfs (advanced doctoral qualifications) are designed for professionals who want to undertake applied, workplace-based research and address real-world challenges whilst advancing their professional careers.
If you are interested in studying with us, please join us for our online information event where you can find out more. If you would like to make enquiries ahead of the event, feel free to contact the course programme leaders Dr Marie Chollier (PGCert) and Christina Buxton (DProfs).
