The Mass Observation Project captures the thoughts and experiences of observers, described as ‘citizen journalists who provide a window on their world’. The masterclass will explore how the voice of the people can be used within social science research.

This event will be hosted by Kirsty Pattrick from The University of Sussex and The Centre for Ageing and Mental Health at the University of Chester.

Chantelle Lunt is a writer, educator, entrepreneur, founder of Merseyside BLM Alliance, a co-founder of Reclaim Pride Liverpool, and co-chair of the United We Stand – Solidarity Network. Chantelle is also the chair of Merseyside Alliance for Racial Equality CIC, a non-profit organisation, committed to promoting racial equality across Merseyside through grassroots community led work. 

In this talk, Chantelle speaks about the toxic effects of the intersection of anti-black racism and misogyny (misogynoir) and how this manifests in schools, the workplace, online, and in the healthcare system.
