Reading on screen can make focusing and reading in depth a challenge. Join this short session for tips on deep reading strategies on screen. This session is an opportunity to outline the importance of deep reading, identify strategies to engage with deeper reading online and develop an appreciation of the difference between reading on paper and reading online.

During your studies, you may come across statistical data that you need to analyse. This session will give you an opportunity to learn more about R, a free, open source statistical software. It is a powerful program that allows you to create graphs from your data, in addition to calculating descriptive statistics and wide range of inferential statistics.

This session provides an introduction to using Endnote bibliographic referencing software. This software is particularly recommended for people doing large pieces of work, including dissertations, systematic reviews, and research students. The session will cover: 

–    How to download Endnote and setup an Endnote Library.  

–    How to add references to your library and organise them.  

–    How to insert selected references into a Word document and create a bibliography using Cite While You Write tools
