The first 30 minutes of the Careers Fair will be a designated quiet session, designed to provide a calmer environment for students who may benefit from reduced noise and sensory input.

Welcome and Orientation: Academic Induction Sessions for New Undergraduate Students

Are you a new undergraduate student starting your course in October? As a new student, getting to know your school, course, and peers is essential for a successful start at the University of Chester. Your course team has designed a schedule of induction activities to help you begin your academic journey on the right foot. These sessions are a vital part of your induction experience, and attendance is expected.

The majority of academic induction sessions will be held on Tuesday 7th October and Thursday 9th October. However, please note that the dates, times, and locations of induction sessions may vary by course, and your course team might have scheduled alternative sessions. To confirm the details of your academic induction, please check your timetable.

Are you starting your course early as part of a Health, Medicine and Society (HMS) programme? We’re excited to welcome you to the University of Chester!

To help you settle in and feel supported, we’re hosting a series of informal Welcome Roadshow events across our sites – designed especially for students starting in HMS.

Location: Queen’s Park Atrium in Churchill House

International students only. Complete your in-person enrolment, and meet other students from your course and across the University. All international students need to attend just one in-person enrolment day once they have arrived in the UK, regardless of their visa status. British citizens who are classed as overseas fee-paying students must also attend a session and bring their British passport with them.

If you are an international student with a visa, you will need to bring the following to your enrolment session:

• Your passport (this needs to be the original passport; we cannot accept a copy or a photograph)

• Your e-visa share code (read more about how to access your e-visa and generate a share code on our website: Entering the UK)

• Your flight details (e.g., your boarding pass, travel booking confirmation, or flight ticket).

You’ll receive full details about your enrolment session (including the date, time, and location) from the Study Visa Team by email. Please refer to that message carefully to make sure you attend the correct session.
