This lecture will be a reflection on the evolvement of Nursing and nurse education during Victoria’s time as a registrant. She will relate her own personal experiences to the changes that have occurred and will explore what being a 21st century nurse entails and how Higher Education can support local workforce needs.
She will share how her practice as a nurse, both in higher education and within health care, has influenced her research and pedagogic direction. She will share how creativity has driven her research interests through the use of visual methods and how her current project, an evaluation of a creative health placement is changing the perceptions of nursing practice.
