We would like to share with you that the holy month of Ramadan is expected to commence mid-February 17th or 18th ending mid- March 2026 (depending on the sighting of the moon).

Sunset will be ranging roughly from 5.25pm to 6.25pm.

Ramadan holds deep spiritual significance for Muslim students and staff. During this period, many observe fasting from dawn until sunset, engage in increased prayer and reflection, and place particular emphasis on ethical conduct, generosity, and community service.

The University recognises that the observance of Ramadan may have an impact on the daily routines for students and staff, including levels of concentration, energy, and participation in academic or extracurricular activities. We therefore encourage all members of the University community to show consideration, understanding, and respect during this time.

Prayer Facilities:
Staff and students observing Ramadan are reminded that prayer facilities are available on our main campuses: Queens Park, Exton, Wheeler, Creative Campus – Kingsway, University Centre Birkenhead and University Centre Warrington.

The University’s Prayer Rooms are open for daily prayers and quiet reflection. Wherever possible ablution (wudu) facilities are provided or alternatives are suggested. During Ramadan, these spaces may experience increased use, particularly around midday and sunset, and students are encouraged to be mindful and respectful of shared access.
