Joining the University soon? We just wanted to make you aware of a couple of important points which will make your life a bit easier on your first visit:
All our sites across UoC are cashless. This means you won’t be able to use cash and you can only purchase items using your bank card at our sites. This includes all our catering outlets and shops.
We also operate a reusable cup scheme for all hot drinks. When you purchase a hot drink at our sites you have two options:
- bring your own reusable mug/cup
- take part in our resuable cup scheme. Pay £1 and you’ll receive your hot drink in a reusable mug. When you’ve finished your drink you can either return the cup for a token which you can use for another cup next time you need a caffeine hit, or you can keep the cup and use it again.
Please ensure you wear your lanyard which shows your student ID when you visit our sites, This helps our Security team to identify you as a student and helps to keep our sites safe and secure for everyone. Starting UoC later this month? You can find info on where/when to pick up your student ID in your Welcome email (we have/will be sending this to your personal email address).
When you join the University, we’ll load £15 of printing credit on to your Student ID card. You can use this to print out your assignments at any of our on-site libraries. Just head to the “Print Credits” tile on the UoC app to check your balance and top up your credits.
