In our recent All-student survey, some of you told us you were having issues with our UoC Mobile App, so we’re pleased to announce we’ve listened and we’re making some changes as a direct result of your student feedback:

  • we’ve temporarily switched off push notifications relating to your attendance whilst we investigate the reported issues with this feature.
  • we’re investigating the issues a small number of you are having regarding checking into your sessions.
  • we’re also looking into why the attendance history is displaying incorrectly in the UoC app for a small number of students.

Please note that throughout this period of investigation, our attendance policy remains unchanged. You’re still required to attend all timetabled sessions and check in via the UoC Mobile App (unless stated otherwise by your lecturer). Remember that you must never check into a session when you are not genuinely in attendance.

You must also let us know if you’re going to be absent from a session via the UoC Mobile App. Please watch this video to remind yourself of this process or visit our Mobile App FAQs.

We will send additional communications as soon as possible and before we switch the notifications back on relating to attendance levels.

If you experience any technical issues with the UoC Mobile App, please report these via our LIS Service Desk so we can investigate.

Thank you for your patience.
