Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week – the week is all about celebrating community, and how it supports our mental health and wellbeing. Communities connect, support, and give us a sense of belonging and purpose. From local to global, online to in-person, we all need community.
We will be holding a number of creative events for Mental Health Awareness Week to bring everyone together:
- Vantry pop-up: Student Services stall
- Wednesday 14 May
- 12.30pm – 3pm
- Remond House Common Room, UCW
Come along to Remond House Common Room for the Vantry – an affordable mobile food pantry offering fresh groceries for just 50p or £1. Student Services will be there running a creative pop-up so come down and say hello!
Mindful Mixer with Wellbeing and Chaplaincy
Wednesday 14 May
2pm – 3pm
- Community Hub, Exton Park
Join us at the Community Hub to meet other students in a calm and supportive space. Enjoy craft activities and chat with Wellbeing Advisers and University Chaplains.

- Thursday 15 May
- 1pm – 3pm
- Seaborne Library, Exton Park
Join us at Seaborne Library for another creative session and to learn more about the support available. Therapy Dog Ollie will be there and would love to see you for a cuddle!
All craft/creative materials provided – no art skill or experience required!
