Jackie Kay is an internationally renowned poet and novelist and from 2014-2022, Chancellor of the University of Salford. She has written widely on themes of identity, including race, gender and sexuality. In recognition of her wide-ranging literary achievements, Jackie was appointed in 2016 to the prestigious position of Makar or National Poet of Scotland. In this talk, Jackie will discuss her own work and experiences under the title of: ‘Full Fig: Many Writers a Writer Makes’
