Learn how to write a personalised and effective cover letter that accompanies a CV, and the different ways a CV and cover letter can be used for getting a job.
The workshop will provide you with information and advice, signposting you to further resources and support, so that you work on your CV and cover letter afterwards. There will be an opportunity to chat and have your questions answered too.
By the end of the session, you will:
- Know what an employer wants to find out about you from a CV and cover letter,
- Be able to tailor and target your CV and cover letter
- Understand the different ways you can use your CV and cover letter to get a job, such as: approaching employers speculatively, applying for an advertised job or when networking in-person or online.
