End Date: 23 May 2023 1:00 pm
Location: Online
Find out why having a career idea or several career ideas is useful and learn how it will help you get a job. Knowing how to develop a career idea from scratch and knowing how career ideas can change over time will inform your career planning and decision-making. Learn the skills of self-reflection and how to develop your self-awareness. Find out about different ways of generating ideas and how to choose between them. Learn how curiosity, research and trying-out can build your confidence, knowledge and motivation to get a job you want.
The workshop will provide you with information, advice and activities, signposting you to further resources and support. There will be an opportunity to chat, carry out an activity and have your questions answered. The session will help you to start developing a career idea and enable you to continue working on your idea(s) afterwards.
By the end of the session, you will:
- Know how to identify your interests, skills and values
- Be able to explore different career ideas
- Understand the value of focusing your job search on one or several career ideas.
