Unwind in the Chester Students Union Foyer with our Board Game Café, hosted by Chester Roleplay and Gaming Society. Whether you’re looking to take a break from the week’s whirlwind of activities, or just enjoy some laid-back fun, this event is the perfect way to connect and relax.

We’ve got an array of games for you to choose from, including Connect 4, The Chameleon, Herd Mentality, Battleships, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, Guess Who, Harry Potter Cluedo, and a collection of timeless classics. There will be soft drinks available throughout the evening.

So, if you’re looking for something low-key and fun amidst the hustle and bustle, join us at the Board Game Café. It’s all about good times, great games, and even better company. We can’t wait to see you there!

Welcome Week – CSU Presents Band & Beats! EvilBadger + Jenny Jones + SilentDisco with DJ’s

Get ready for a night of dancing to bangers at Chester Students’ Union takeover of the Union Bar with ‘Bands & Beats’ a special band night and silent disco that you won’t want to miss. Tickets £2 on the door.

The night opens with a performance by a talented local pop singer Jenny Jones. Then, Evil Badger, a 5-piece cover band who were recently students at University of Chester will take the stage with a high-energy setlist featuring the best of rock, indie, and funk from the 1960s to today. Expect a mix of anthems and hits that will have you singing along and dancing all night long.

From 10:30 PM to Midnight, the party continues with a unique twist—a Silent Disco! Grab a pair of headphones and switch between two channels, as two local DJs spin a mix of pop, R&B, indie, and dance across two rooms. 

Free Entry for all University of Chester students, with limited capacity to 100, so grab your friends and arrive early to secure entry and make it a night to remember!

Carl Fredricksen, a 78-year-old balloon salesman, is about to fulfil a lifelong dream. Tying thousands of balloons to his house, he flies away to the South American wilderness.
