We understand that balancing family life with studies can be a real challenge and that you may have questions and concerns about the journey ahead. The good news is we have lots of fantastic parents managing the juggle and making it work. Come along to our University Centre Birkenhead Campus and for a refreshment and a chat with Rachel and Katharine to ask your questions and find out more about our Student Parent Support Network which was set up to connect student parents and pregnant students across all University of Chester sites. 

Get yourself to the Sports Hall, grab a racket and make friends! Everyone will move between the courts, so this is the perfect event to meet new people. All equipment is provided and no prior badminton skills are needed. No booking is required, just drop by.

Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) Meetings

We want to ensure you have the best academic support right from the start. That is why we have allocated a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) to assist you throughout your academic studies.

Your PAT, a knowledgeable member of our academic staff, will help support your academic progress, by providing you with individual and personal advice and support. They will play a pivotal role in your university experience.

For most students, your first PAT meeting will take place on Monday 23rd September, and attendance is expected. Once you have been allocated a PAT (normally the week before Welcome Week), details of who your PAT is, and your first meeting can be found on the University App in the “Me” tab and on Moodle at moodle.chester.ac.uk.

Arrivals and Stage 2 Enrolment for New Non-Residential Students 

If you are a new student living at home, in private sector or partnership accommodation, join us from Monday September 23^rd to collect your Student ID card and complete stage 2 of enrolment.
