Chester Youth Climate Action Network Drop In

Focussing on educating young people on environmental issues and help facilitate discussions around green skills and careers. They will be leading the youth day as part of the Green Expo in June this year.

Taster: Carbon Literacy, Climate Justice and Careers in Sustainability

Carbon Literacy Training looks at the science behind climate change, introduces themes of climate justice and the practical actions we can take in both our personal and professional lives. In this taster session, you will have the opportunity to hear more about the content of Carbon Literacy Training and understand the urgency of taking action through an interactive quiz and discussion group. We will also be discussing how becoming carbon literate can positively influence your employability skills and how taking action on climate change is becoming an integral part of a variety of careers.

Hot Topics in International Trade – Ask the Expert ONLINE EVENT

Becky Stark, MIEx(Grad), Stark Export Focus

Becky has been an accredited member of the Institute of Export for nearly twenty five years and runs her own business delivering international trade support and training to SME’s from a wide range of industry sectors across the UK. Becky has worked extensively on private and public-sector projects, including assistance for companies engaged with support programmes with both the DIT and Welsh Government. She has been involved in the delivery of mentoring and training for hundreds of SMEs over the years, both independently and with associate projects. She is actively engaged by Chambers of Commerce across the UK to deliver British Chambers of Commerce accredited and non-accredited courses and offers independent training courses ranging from strategic development to the practicalities of the import and export processes and customs procedures.

Student Enterprise and Business Showcase & Networking

This business showcase and networking session provides an opportunity to showcase your products and services to a diverse audience of UoC staff, students, alumni and fellow business owners. There will also be a showcase of UoC Business School

Exhibition stand space is available for up to 15 businesses, and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Contact Sue Bright [s.bright@chester.ac.uk] if you would like a stand space.

Programme:

• 1.30-2.30: meet the businesses/stand visit the stands

• 2.30-3.30: business/entrepreneur talks/presentations (4x 10-15 mins)

CWP First Response Service – Are we the right Service for you?

Come and join Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trusts for their online session! They will have Manager’s from the First Response Service on hand to discuss what it is like to work for the CWP and the chance for you to be able to ask questions about where to find our vacancies for example, what they look for in the right candidate on an application and at interview stage.

There will also be opportunity to ask and find out information around their recruitment for people who have clinical degree’s we also have a number of vacancies and bank vacancies that do not require degree grades for example our First Response Operatives.
