Crossing Borders 2: Joining up the dots

Start Date: 15 June 2023 10:00 am

End Date: 15 June 2023 3:00 pm

Location: The Garret Theatre at Storyhouse

The Department of Music, Media and Performance presents Crossing Borders 2: Joining up the dots.

Heavily influenced by Zygmunt Bauman’s books Identity (2004) and Community (2013), we have invited several individuals, organisations and groups to discuss interesting projects and initiatives in our region.

This promises to be a very special event featuring some amazing guests. We’ll be exploring three main themes for this year – CommunityIdentity and Belonging – from a variety of perspectives, including Art, Heritage, Marginalised Groups, Youth and Community Arts and Theatre.

It will be a very fast past event: each presentation will only last 15 minutes to allow us to hear from lots of different perspectives and experiences during the event.

The event is 100% free – and even includes free coffee/tea and lunch! Just like last year, all information gathered from this event, including written records, images, recordings, and evaluations from attendees and presenters, will be compiled into an evaluation report which all participants will be granted access to.
