Welcome and Orientation: International Student In-Person Enrolment (Queen’s Park, Churchill House, Chester)

Location: Rooms 006/7, Churchill House, Queen's Park, Chester

International students only. Complete your in-person enrolment, and meet other students from your course and across the University. All international students need to attend just one in-person enrolment day once they have arrived in the UK, regardless of their visa status. British citizens who are classed as overseas fee-paying students must also attend a session and bring their British passport with them.

You must book a timeslot to attend the in-person enrolment. Please click here for more information and guidance.

If you do not have a timeslot appointment, you may not be able to complete your enrolment and will be asked to return another day.

If you are an international student with a visa, you will need to bring the following to your enrolment session:

• Your passport (this needs to be the original passport; we cannot accept a copy or a photograph)

• Your e-visa share code (read more about how to access your e-visa and generate a share code on our website: Entering the UK)

• Your flight details (e.g., your boarding pass, travel booking confirmation, or flight ticket).

You’ll receive full details about your enrolment session (including the date, time, and location) from the Study Visa Team by email. Please refer to that message carefully to make sure you attend the correct session.

Accommodation key collection for students arriving in January

Your keys will be available to collect from the Accommodation Office, which is based next door to the Costcutter Shop (please visit this page to view number 7A on the map) between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm Mondays – Fridays.


If you are arriving outside of these hours, keys can be collected from the security lodge (number 20 on the map) which is open 24 hours a day 7 days per week.

Support Fair – 9th February, Small Hall

International Student In-Person Enrolment Booking Guidance (Jan/Feb 2026)

Are you an international student starting your studies in January or February 2026?

To complete your enrolment at the University of Chester, you will need to attend an international student in-person enrolment session to present your visa documents. All students with an overseas fee status are required to attend one of these sessions.

You will receive an email from the Student Experience Team with full details on how to book your in-person enrolment time slot, including instructions on how to use the booking system.

It is essential that all new international students read the guidance document below before booking, as it explains what you need to bring to your appointment and how to complete your booking correctly.

You must book a time slot in advance to attend the in-person enrolment session.
