Need someone to talk to or some advice? We’re here for you – anytime.

You can contact the Student Assistance Programme 24/7, every day of the year, by calling for free on 0800 028 3766.

The Student Assistance Programme offers free, confidential support for all students, alongside the support already provided by the University.

Whether you’re feeling stressed, dealing with personal issues, or need advice about things like money, housing, legal matters, medical or mental health, you can talk to someone right away.

You can also get up to six counselling sessions per issue, each year. These can be:

  • In person (within 30 minutes from where you live)
  • Over the phone
  • On a video call
  • Or through online CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) activities

To book counselling you can call the helpline directly on 0800 028 3766, or contact Student Services on 01244 511550 or studentservices@chester.ac.uk.

Don’t speak English as your first language?  No problem. An interpreter can be arranged – just ask when you call, and you can speak in your preferred language.
