Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) Meetings

We want to ensure you have the best academic support right from the start. That is why we have allocated a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) to assist you throughout your academic studies.

Your PAT, a knowledgeable member of our academic staff, will help support your academic progress, by providing you with individual and personal advice and support. They will play a pivotal role in your university experience.

For most students, your first PAT meeting will take place on Monday 23rd September, and attendance is expected. Once you have been allocated a PAT (normally the week before Welcome Week), details of who your PAT is, and your first meeting can be found on the University App in the “Me” tab and on Moodle at moodle.chester.ac.uk.
