Fancy learning a new language for free?
Our Centre for Student Exchange and Language Development offers both language taster courses and language evening classes, which are free to you while you study with us.
Our language taster courses provide a 6-week introduction to the language and culture of a specific country/countries, with a choice of Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Welsh. They are an ideal way of finding out if learning a language is for you. You will cover introductory topics, such as basic greetings, numbers, weather, and dining out, as well as cultural knowledge of the relevant country/countries.
The tuition fee is usually £99 per course, but as a student you can simply pay a deposit of £75. This will be refunded back to you after course completion (attending at least 80% of the sessions). - 6 weeks, usually between May and June.

Our language evening classes are a great way to expand and develop your language skills if you have a passion for learning another language, are looking to learn or improve a language for business reasons, or simply want help with your holiday conversations! We are currently running 24-week courses in Arabic, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Russian, Spanish, and Welsh.
The tuition fee is usually £389 per course, but as a student you can simply pay a deposit of £100. This will be refunded back to you after course completion (attending at least 80% of the sessions).
