As a University with a global community, our thoughts are currently with everyone affected by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

We would like to remind students of our support services which are available to those who may have connections to the affected regions, or who are experiencing anxiety and distress, during this difficult time.

Our wellbeing team is available should you wish to discuss any concerns confidentially, and practical advice can be given. You can email wellbeing@chester.ac.uk to organise an appointment.

We also offer an emergency financial fund for international students should you incur any unexpected financial expenses. You can email money@chester.ac.uk to apply for this fund.

And we also have a student counselling service that can provide free, confidential talking therapy should you feel this would be a more appropriate option for you.

You can also access a 24/7 dedicated student support helpline via our Student Assistance Programme. Call 0800 028 3766 for confidential, in-the-moment support.
