Whether you’re a brand new student or you’re returning for another year of study at the University of Chester, we know the start of term can stir up a range of emotions so we just wanted to remind you of our wellbeing services which are available to all students.
The University has dedicated teams of Wellbeing Advisers, Mental Health Advisers and Counsellors who are here to talk with you about problems you may be experiencing in life and study. They can advise about internal and external support options.
Join us for one of our online intro sessions to find out more:
- Meet your Wellbeing & Mental Health Team
- Monday 11 September
- 12pm
- Online on Teams
In this online session representatives from both teams will talk about what their services have to offer you, explain how you can access support, and there will be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
- Settling into University
- Wednesday 13 September
- 12.30pm
- Online on Teams
Join Rachel and Chloe from Student Services to pick up some tips on settling into university life and learn more about the support available here at the University.
In addition to our university services, all students also have access to our Student Assistance Programme. It provides you with immediate advice and practical guidance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Sometimes, simply talking through your issues with someone, in the moment, can be a great relief. Call the 24/7 helpline for free: 0800 028 3766 to talk through any problem. Support includes counselling, exploring mental health concerns and also the option to obtain guidance on personal, financial and legal matters.
If English isn’t your first language, SAP also provides a language line which connects you to an interpreter so you can chat in your preferred language.
