Over the next few weeks, our Chaplaincy team is running a series of events to celebrate Lent.

From pancake-making to Chapel services and soup lunches – there’s something for everyone, and all students and staff are invited.

Shrove Tuesday – Chaplaincy will be joining forces with the Sustainability team and making pancakes which will be available from 11am-1pm on Tuesday 13 February at the Community Hub & Chaplaincy building, Exton Park. There’ll be a variety of toppings to add to your pancake and we’ll be looking for ideas for ways to look after our world this Lent!

Ash Wednesday – on 14 Februrary our Anglican chaplains will be hosting a short Ash Wednesday Ceremony in Chapel (10 minutes approx.) at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm for those who would like to receive the imposition of ashes (a small cross on the forehead with ash from palm crosses).

Lent Lunches – every Monday throughout Lent 12.30pm-1.30pm (19 February, 26 February, 4 March, 11 March, 18 March, 25 March) there will be a simple soup lunch available at the Community Hub with an opportunity to engage in a reflection centred around the theme ‘Pathways Through the Wilderness’. We’ll be reflecting on ways we can find hope when everything around us feels hopeless.

All three of these offerings are open to all staff and students regardless of faith position or background.
