In addition to Seaborne Library at Exton Park, we’re pleased to announce that our Estates and Facilities Team is working hard to renovate two University of Chester other buildings in Chester ready for the new academic year.
Gateway House in Chester city centre will be the new home for Journalism and Creative Writing students and staff. The site is ideally positioned in the heart of the city and will support teaching and learning with seminar rooms, newsrooms, staff offices, a tech office and equipment store, a multimedia hub, comfortable common room and kitchens, and two podcast studios.
Gateway House is located just a short walk from Storyhouse and Chester Market, as well as the city’s incredible variety of cafes and coffee shops. Students will be able to draw inspiration from the news, events, and fantastic views of the city!
Located a short walk from Exton Park, the Rigg building will become the new home for the Centre of Foundation Studies this academic year. The site is surrounded by green space and will support teaching and learning with seminar rooms, staff offices, brand-new kitchens, and touchdown independent and collaborative workspaces.
