The lecture will discuss the journey of addressing abuse in religious contexts and the challenges encountered. It will draw on research conducted and ask questions about where power is held and by whom. It will consider trauma-informed creative approaches to research. It will focus on the many ways in which silencing occurs and how partnership working with those who experience abuse and agencies is essential to addressing harm. The voice of survivors will be central throughout.
